Requesting account & data deletion
NodePoint is operated by Node Nest Digital Limited ("NodePoint", "we", "us"), Nairobi, Kenya. This page explains how to ask us to delete your NodePoint account and the data associated with it, what we delete, and what (by law) we may keep.
How to request deletion
Fastest — in the app: sign in as the account owner or an admin, go to Settings, and under “Delete account” (the danger zone) type your business name to confirm. This permanently deletes your account and all its data immediately.
By email: write to privacy@nodepoint.co.ke from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Delete my account” and your business name. To protect your data we may ask you to verify that you own the account. We action verified email requests within 30 days and confirm once it is done.
What we delete
Once your request is verified, we permanently delete from our active systems:
• Your account profile and login credentials — name, email, phone number, and PIN/password.
• Your business and customer records (“Customer Data”) — products, inventory, sales, invoices, bookings, guests, suppliers, staff records and related operational data in your workspace.
• Device push-notification tokens and the security/diagnostic logs tied to your account.
Deleted data is also purged from our encrypted backups within 30 days.
What we keep, and for how long
We retain only a limited set of records, and only where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and resolve disputes:
• Billing and transaction records we are required to keep under Kenyan tax and accounting law, held for the statutory retention period and then deleted.
• A minimal record confirming that your deletion request was received and actioned.
These retained records are never used for any other purpose, and are not used for marketing or advertising.
If your subscription simply lapses
If you stop using NodePoint without sending a deletion request, your data remains available to you for one (1) month after your subscription ends, and is then permanently and irreversibly deleted automatically. Please export anything you need within that window.
